Diving and snorkelling - Sharm is one of the best dive destinations in the world. The corals here are fantastic. Many hotels have house reefs, Sharks Bay is a good area to be based. You can take boat trips to lots of dive sites, the ,ost popular being Ras Mohammed. We went to Tiran Island and snorkelled in the morning and afternoon. For lunch we has BBQ'd fish freshly caught that morning and on the way home our boat was followed by a group of wild dolphins! Quad Bikes - in the desert, great fun! Camel Ride and Star Gazing - after a camel ride at sunset you are taken to a Bedouin tent int he desert where you can drink mint tea and watch the stars. Sounds wacky but the sky here is so clear that you feel you can reach up and touch the stars. Great for the children. Luxor and Cairo - of course you can fit in a trip to see the ancient wonders of Egypt - a must even if you are not a fan of excursions! Shopping - Haggle! it is expected and actually quite good fun! However, it is not like Morrocco or Tunisia where you feel threatened. Naama Bay has lots of shops selling a wide variety of goods. They even have 'hastle free' shops! For better prices head for old Sharm. The best time to go is early evening, then the markets come alive!
