Desert safari – fantastic experience in a 4 wheel drive to the desert including dinner and traditional dancing in a bedoin site. Camel rides, henna tattoos for the kids, and the most amazing sunset I have ever seen! Be warned – can be very hot and 4 wheel drives can cause travel sickness over the dunes but well worth the excursion!

Night in a desert hotel – try one or two nights staying in the desert hotels such as Bab al Shams. A fantastic experience and so relaxing and quiet – wonderful!

Helicopter trip – even though I have a fear of flying, this was amazing! You fly over the Burj al Arab hotel and see the vast amount of building work in Dubai including the Palms and the World.

Burj al Arab – an experience in itself! See the amazing indoor water fountain which goes as high as the building itself about every 10 minutes. A trip in the outside elevator is a must, even if you have a fear of heights, try it! Go to the lounge on the top floor and you can see the World and the Palms.
